It is time: a List!

Back in November I made a lengthy to-do list. That list included everything from vacuum the floor to take a shower (Seriously? Seriously.) I managed to accomplish some of the items on the list (surely a shower!), however many remained at the end of the week, the month, the year.
I would not consider myself goal-oriented. On the other hand I love a list. Making a list keeps me focused, only somewhat obviously.

It's time to get back to my "to-dos"...

1. Deep-clean the house
This is seemingly impossible. I start to clean the house everyday, but only get as far as the kitchen. The house needs a good scrubbing though--floors, baseboards, windows--the whole nine yards.

2. Sew.
I have tons of things pinned on my "Sewing Creations." board on Pinterest that I'd love to attempt especially some clothes for the girls. Also I have the pieces cut and pinned for my first quilt. I've just got to put a needle and thread to it.

3. Work on the girls' baby books.
I always thought baby books were dumb. I've changed my mind. Two super cute Eric Carle baby books that are completely blank are collecting dust on my dining room table.

4. Edit photos.
I've take thousands of pictures of the girls...no kidding. While I don't have much knowledge of photo editing, I'm hoping to find some online tutorials and create some lovely photos.

There's plenty more that needs to be done, but starting small is going to be my best bet.

Pinterest Dinner : Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

I love everything about a cinnamon roll. When I came across this recipe, I knew I would give it a try.
Most Sundays we have breakfast for dinner.  Our small group meets on Sunday at 4:30, and when we don't go have dinner together this is a quick fix for us when we get home.
I hadn't made our January meal calendar yet, so when Steve suggested pancakes for dinner, I immediately thought of these cinnamon roll pancakes.
They are easy to assemble.  I had all of the ingredients in my fridge and pantry.  Looking at the photo of the pancake(s) cooking, one might think they turned into a disaster.  (I did at first!) I might have gotten the batter too thin, or made the filling too runny.  When I poured the filling into the batter in the skillet, it started to spread.  Oops.
Regardless of how disastrous they looked, they tasted delicious! Thank goodness.

Pinterest Project : scarf holder.

I love to waste time on Pinterest. My biggest problem with Pinterest is that I make lots of plans but never follow through. One of the things I would like to do this year is make/sew/cook some of the great projects I've pinned to my never-ending boards.
Figuring out what to do with my multitude of scarves has always stumped me. I stumbled across a pin recently that had a cheap, easy solution! Last week I picked up some cheap shower curtain rings at Target. (I also snagged a pair of moleskin journals for a project for the girls!)
Hanger + shower curtain rings = scarf solution!
The rings slide around on the plastic hanger which is a little annoying. I bet I could get one for suit pants that has the rubber strips to keep the rings stationary. However this is great because all of my scarves are in one place and easy to store in the closet!

Yay!
